DraftKings Pick6 vs PrizePicks

Pick6 and PrizePicks both run peer-to-peer More/Less pick'em: your entry competes with other players' entries, not against the operator. They differ in how a lineup is built, how your stake is split into contests, and where you can play.

Which one fits you

DraftKings Pick6

  • Pick Pick6 if you're in Connecticut, where it runs and PrizePicks has no Player Picks.
  • Pick Pick6 if you're in Canada: it covers 8 provinces and 3 territories (not Ontario or Alberta), and PrizePicks' fantasy game is US-only.

PrizePicks

  • Pick PrizePicks if you're in New York, Oregon or Wyoming, where it offers Player Picks and Pick6 doesn't.
  • Pick PrizePicks if you want to mix sports in one lineup; a Pick6 entry uses athletes from a single sport.

How the contests work

Pick6 splits your stake into $1 contests, so a $20 entry becomes 20 separate contests against other entries. PrizePicks puts each lineup into one group of entries with the same pick count, 315 for 2- or 3-pick lineups and up to 940 for 6 picks, and allows one lineup per contest. Both start at $1.

How you win

Both pay a floor amount for enough correct picks and more for beating the field. Pick6 calls the floor its Base Payout and the extra Extra Winnings; PrizePicks calls them the Minimum Guarantee and the Max Payout. PrizePicks also publishes standard Power Play rates from 3x for 2 picks to 37.5x for 6.

Building a lineup

A Pick6 entry needs 2 or more players (3 or more in some regions) from a single sport. PrizePicks takes 2 to 6 picks (at least 3 in Colorado), lets you mix sports, and lets you add eligible Team Picks to the same lineup.

Where you can play

As of October 2026, Pick6 lists 34 states plus DC and 8 Canadian provinces and 3 territories, in a list DraftKings updated July 14, 2026. PrizePicks lists Player Picks in 36 states plus DC and is US-only. Pick6 adds Connecticut and Canada; PrizePicks adds New York, Oregon and Wyoming.

Age

Pick6 requires 19 in Alabama and Nebraska and 21 in Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts and Virginia. PrizePicks requires 19 in Alabama and Colorado and 21 in the same four states.
